Client Vision

The Lake Mary Behavioral and Infusion Center needed a purpose-built facility to support its dual focus: behavioral health treatment and infusion therapy services. Their vision was to create a modern, calming space for patients receiving treatment, with specialized areas for therapy, counseling, and infusion services. The building also had to accommodate staff workflows efficiently, ensure privacy, and meet stringent healthcare regulations.

Design & Planning

Our team worked closely with Lake Mary Behavioral and Infusion Center to design a space that aligned with their mission of providing compassionate care in a secure and comfortable environment. We paid special attention to the following:

Patient-Centered Design: Creating a space that promotes healing and peace, with private therapy rooms, a welcoming reception area, and calming aesthetics.
Dual Service Areas: Designing separate spaces for behavioral health and infusion therapy while ensuring seamless access and workflow for staff.

As a ground-up build-to-suit project, this facility required starting from scratch to meet the center’s exact needs. From site preparation to the final finishes, we were involved in every phase, including:

Site Preparation & Utilities: Prepping the site for the new facility included laying groundwork, ensuring proper drainage, and installing necessary utilities to support both behavioral health and medical infusion services.
Structural Build: The building’s framework was designed with patient safety and comfort in mind, using top-tier materials that ensured durability and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Advanced Mechanical Systems: Installing specialized HVAC and air filtration systems to meet the standards required for a medical infusion center and maintaining optimal comfort for all patients.

Overcoming Challenges

Every construction project has its set of challenges, and this build was no exception. A primary challenge for the Lake Mary Behavioral and Infusion Center was the integration of both behavioral health and medical services within one facility. We worked carefully to ensure the separation of these spaces while maintaining a cohesive flow.
